How it works
Step 1
Each child writes a letter to Santa requesting something they really want, and something they really need.
Step 2
Each child is randomly matched with a sponsor who will purchase the requested gifts (on behalf of Santa).
Step 3
Santa distributes the gifts to the children at School, along with a special Christmas lunch so that they all go home happy and with full tummies.
Please note: sponsors are sent more detailed information on the process, including drop off points for the gifts.
About Kids Christmas
Kids Christmas is a volunteer run charity that pairs generous sponsors with underprivileged children to give them a little bit of Christmas magic.
Santa always makes time in his busy schedule to deliver gifts and spread festive joy to these kids whose parents are often struggling financially, experiencing hardship, or sadly not even in the picture.
Kids Christmas also endeavour to raise awareness of the number of Kiwi children who go without basic necessities such as shoes, clothes, blankets and pillows. Items such as these are also collected and distributed to children deemed most in need along with Christmas gifts.

Kids Christmas was started by Shannon Beech and Deanne Rawle in 2014. After hearing that a very large number of children at a low decile Auckland school would likely not receive any Christmas gifts or cheer that year, they set about doing something about it. Being mothers themselves, they wanted to share some of the magic their own families are lucky enough to experience.
